We have started a youth drama group, primarily for young people aged between 6 and
16. This is divided into two sections -
Our aim is to develop self esteem and confidence. It is often the case that the transition of moving to another country is difficult, especially for children, when faced with the unfamiliar; a new school system, new culture and new friends to be made in a new language. Taking part in a drama group can be an excellent way to develop the coping skills your child will need, as well as providing occasions for creativity and self expression.
French children who wish to improve and develop their English skills are also welcome. A.C.T will allow them the opportunity to immerse themselves in a different environment and have a better understanding and empathy with their fellow English friends.
Members will work with an English drama teacher of nearly 20 years experience with whom they can learn a range of drama skills, take part in performances including a seasonal pantomime, make friends and most importantly have fun.
The first meeting is a free taster session to allow your child the chance ‘to try before you buy’ after which membership is 30€ a year and 3€ a week for material costs.
This is a new initiative which we hope will prove to be helpful and enjoyable.
